Friends, fondue, sangria.
 


 
We were creative with our leftovers and made some sangria fruit salad.
Served it up with some tart homemade devon cream on top.
So tasty.
 
Sangria fruit salad:
  • Sangria (1/2 wine 1/2 fruit juice)
  • Lots of fruit chopped up into many pieces (maybe leftovers from fondue..?)
Mix together in a large jar and let marinate in the fridge overnight. Top with devon cream (below) and consume.
 
Devon Cream:
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tbs icing sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
Whip cream and mix in remaining ingredients. Enjoy with scones, fruit salad, life.

Wednesday


I've been enjoying the last few days working on some projects. The weekend was busy and I was blessed to spend so much time with family and friends. As this week goes on I'm hoping to spend some more time finishing up and starting new projects, doing some baking, and getting together with friends (for tea and fondue etc - YUM). Also, I'm not going to say how many of those rice krispie sqaures I ate...

Dinner tonight: baked potato soup with yummy toppings (sour cream, cheese, bacon, green onions) and honey rolls.

Perhaps a show and a dip in the hot tub before bed?

Surprise Party

Surprise! Food, games, friends. Life is good.
 
 
Four player up/down dutch blitz gets a little too intense for photos. We needed a pause in the game for cake and a breather.
 
And here is the birthday boy, with a lovely homemade vancouver skyline ice cream cake. YEAH. Of course it was good! (Mint Chocolate - in case you were wondering)
